Handling of Transfers Between Accounts

When I transfer funds between two accounts (like moving money from savings to checking so I can pay a bill), Quicken properly reports the transactions, but they show up on the Dashboard / Income & Expense card. This make it look like I have more income and expenses than I really do. Any ideas on how to not report transfers on this card?

I am running R64.29 on a Windows 11 PC, but this issue is not at all new.

Looking at the options on that Income & Expense card it doesn't look like there's any way to excise Transfers.

In my opinion the "Dashboard" introduced by Quicken a few years ago(?) is largely useless. I'd suggest editing the dashboard by turning on the "Classic Dashboard" option, creating your own "view" (or views) populated with whatever information you wish to see. There's a lot more customization available to you this way.

Having set up a view that you'd like to see every time you open Quicken, set Quicken's Preferences to open to that page.

@Jim Shiffrin I have been discussing this very issue with the Quicken development team. The solution is adding an Option's dropdown on the Dashboard Income/Expense card so that the user can customize what transaction type, transfers, and accounts appear on this card. This is the only card that I noticed that does not have this options dropdown. The good news is that it sounds like they are planning to be adding this feature very soon on a future release, perhaps even on the next release.
