How can I see the category group in a report

I know this has been asked several times but I can't find any answer.

I have entered a category group within my categories so that I would be able to review my categories by group. I can't find that information on any report. I know I can run a report for a specific group but to accomplish what I need I need to generate a report by category that will show the group assigned to that category. I'm not asking for Quicken to create such a report - only to show the group name in the report. Then I can massage the report using Excel to obtain the info I want.

The answers I see here are to use TAG. But I am already using TAG to delineate other info per category.

    If you want a report that shows the Category Group name next to each Category, Quicken can't do that.

    But several reports can be subtotaled by Category Group. These include the Banking > Cash Flow and Transaction reports and the Spending > Current Budget report. For these reports, click on the gear to customize and on the Display tab, next to Organization choose Category Group.

    If you want to filter by Category Group so the report just includes one group, several reports support that as well, using the Category Groups customization tab. In that case you can save the report and give it a title that includes the group name.

    But several reports can be subtotaled by Category Group. These include the Banking > Cash Flow and Transaction reports and the Spending > Current Budget report. For these reports, click on the gear to customize and on the Display tab, next to Organization choose Category Group.

    I am fairly certain you can opt to show category group in the Tools | Category List and for sure you can export the Category List to a tab-delimited text file.

    Quicken user since Q1999. Currently using QW2017.

    PERFECT. Just what I was looking for.And it even showed the Category Group!
