Can I change the download name for a bank account to something that is more identifiable?

Hello,

I use Quicken Deluxe Classic, ver R64.30, on Win 11. I have only recently decided to try using the download feature for my bank accounts. I am a novice. Most accounts downloaded with labels that I understood. However, one bank does not identify itself in the naming convention. I want to change the account name from Adv Plus Banking to BAM checking. Is there a renaming rule for accounts? I am concerned that there won't be a name match for future downloads if I change the name in Quicken.

Also, I thought Web Connect Express + accounts are supposed to download each time I open Quicken. This isn't happening. Which is correct?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Also wish there were in-depth tutorials for various parts of Quicken.😒

If you are asking about changing the names under Accounts, you can do this usually with no issue. For one step update, the account is matched based on the Account Number. To your second question, you can enable this option in the Startup Preferences. But for me since I open Quicken occasionally through the day, I run this manually.

To change the name of an account, click on the gear at the top right of the account's register and select Edit Account details. On the General tab you can change the account name. This will not affect downloading.

To access Quicken Help simply press the F1 key from anywhere in Quicken (or click Help in the Menu bar, then click Quicken Help).
Once Help has started, use the Search tab to search using keywords, e.g., "buy security".
Some Quicken view screens may have a blue (or yellow) button with a question mark. Click it to get view - specific help.
