Tax Free Dividends
unable to change the dividend income category to Tax-Free for rrsp transactions

Is the security itself Tax-Free? Because that's when the tax-free-div-inc should be used. That action isn't needed if the entire account is tax-free.
Should you ever hold that security in a non-tax-advantaged account, you'd want the divs in such account to still be recorded as taxable.

want to be able to include the RRSP income in reports without the dividend income showing
Therefore, would like to categorize RRSP dividends in a “Tax-Free” category rather than the default “investment:dividend income” category.
Possible?

So just exclude the particular security from the report.
