How to deactivate current Discover card
I can not get new Discover Card entered. A 2018 (?) message suggested to deactivate an existing Discover before attempting to enter a new Discover card. This is my problem but currently (2025), the Online Services window does not have a "Deactivate" button; the program has obviously been changed. What do I do to enter a new Discover Card while the old and discarded card is still listed? Please help as I am stuck. Thanks, Ken

I'm assuming that what's happening here is that you got a replacement Discover credit card in place of the existing Discover card and you're attempting to continue the "old" credit card Account in Quicken instead of creating a new Account?
But really, nothing has been changed, that "Deactivate" option really should be there. If the Account has never been set up for downloading or you previously deactivated it then the Online Services tab should read "Set up now." Is that what you're seeing?
If the Account, for whatever reason, isn't set up for downloading then back over on the General tab you should be able to delete the "Account number" information and then start the process of setting up the Account for downloading.
