2FA with E*trade Not Working (QMac)

I've been struggling with this for ages. I'm on macOS. Same as bostonhack, brokerage doesn't need MFA works fine.
MFA is a nightmare. Works once in a blue moon but if the moon ain't blue it asks me to login again, finds the account links them to the old accounts but will never download any transaction.
It has driven me to try to replace quicken for years and yet I come back for more.

@Quicken Alyssa , thanks for your reply.
I've tried that years back when I first started struggling with it. If I remember correctly, that worked.
But we don't live in that world anymore; such security exposure is a non-starter.
If quicken can't support MFA would be great if you would remove the feature all together. The time I've wasted trying to the MFA process is the most frustrating part here.

Hello @dobbin,
Thank you for following up, and I can totally understand where you are coming from.
After reviewing your account internally, I can see the CC-503 issue you were having, but your latest attempts to update those E*trade appear successful. Are you still having this issue today?
If so, please describe the steps you take to get the CC-503 error. Also, please check out the Support Article for this error.
Looking forward to your response.

Hi, thanks for following up, the issue has always been consistent. The login process with MFA works fine, next I'm asked to link the accounts to the matching account which I do, it is at this point where the app is trying to download new transactions where things go south.
To recap connecting fine, download broken.

unfortunately it isn't missing transactions. after the login is successful and the accounts are linked again, it goes back to failed login.

what's seems to be the issue is that after the first login, the one that links all accounts the system tries to login again, to download transactions, this of course fails because you need to input MFA again
