Problem with creating new Brokerage account with Capital Group American Funds
Using Quicken Classic DLX for Windows subscription with auto updates. (Also been using Quicken since the 1990's). I am attempting to add a new single IRA account, and although I can get Quicken to download the correct account information from the Capital Group site, I find Quicken attempts to create multiple individual accounts with each fund that is in my one IRA account. There is only one account number used by Capital Group where all the funds are located and as Quicken has accessed. Yet it shows my 9 different funds in that IRA account as being 9 individual accounts to be created in Quicken. Any suggestions to correct the issue would be appreciated. I did attempt to create the account manually in Quicken and afterwards downloaded the information from Capital, but it still shows 9 different accounts and will only let me select the link existing account for one of them.

Some FI's, and I don't know if Capital is one of them, require that all accounts in Q be "single mutual fund" type accounts.
You could try searching this forum for other references to Capital, or contact Capital to see if this is the case.
