Options Base Security

Make it make sense. Let's say that I already have a stock added to my list of securities.
For example: SPY (SPDR S&P 500 ETF)

Now let's say that I wish to add a related call/put option to the list of securities
For example: SPY251027C00678000 (Call Oct27'25 @ 678)

Should be quite straight forward. Add as security type "Option" and under base security it should present SPY as an option.

It doesn't. In fact it presents no US Stocks at all.
It is only showing a subset of securities that are denominated in my home currency (CAD $).

To be clear: My base currency is CAD$ but all US Stocks and related options are setup was USD$, US Stock exchange, US everything - as it aught to be.

Got my hopes up that I might finally be able to relate options trades to the underlying stock.

Help?
