Unable to find an option for connecting to Fidelity Net Benefits

When I attempt to connect a new account, there is no option for Fidelity Net Benefits. There is an option for Fidelity Investments, but Fidelity says that only brings you to the personal invertor site, not the 401K site. It looks like Net Benefits used to be an option, but now I do not see it.

You need to connect to Fidelity Investments. There no longer is a "Fidelity NetBenefits" financial institution in Quicken. Fidelity Investments is now used for both brokerate and other non-401K account as well as the 401K account that used to be downloaded from Fidelity Net Benefits. This change took effect when we were requested to reauthorize our Fidelity accounts (to EWC+).

Have you tried logging into the Fidelity.com account when Quicken opens the browser for that? If not, back up your data file, first, and then deactivate your NetBenefits account. Then do Add Account and when prompted use your NetBenefits login and make sure to Link the downloaded data to the account you already have in Quicken.

If that doesn't work, you might need to set up an online account with Fidelity.com and then use that login to set up downloading of your 401K account making sure to Link the download to your existing account in Quicken.

Here is what the FIDIR (Financial Institutions Directory) file…the file that tells Quicken which FIs support Quicken, which types of accounts they support and which connection methods they support… now shows what Fidelity Investments is now used for. Note that "401K" is now used with this FI.:

Thanks for the suggestions. When I try to add a new account with Fidelity Investments, it brings me to the login page, and I enter the correct user and pw, then I get a message, "The page you requested is currently unavailable. Please try again later."

The account used to work until about a month ago and I started getting that message when I tried resetting the account connection. So I just deleted the account and tried adding it again.

Fidelity people said that Net Benefits is separate and they thought that was the reason for the problem, but something else must be going on.

Are you saying that you had an EWC+ connection via Fidelity Investments (not with zzz-Fidelity Netbenefits) that worked up until a month ago?

So I just deleted the account and tried adding it again.

Did you actually delete the account or did you deactivate the account?

I'm not sure if the old connection was with Fidelity Investments or Net Benefits. But after I could not get it reconnected, I just deleted it figuring it would be easy to make a new connection. I wonder if I should contact Quicken support again to see if they can dig into it. The last person I chatted with from Quicken thought it was a problem on Fidelity's end.

Yes, you probably should contact Quicken Support, again. I'm afraid there is not enough information available to me here for me to be able to provide much assistance. Quicken Support has tools where they can access your computer remotely which can sometimes be very helpful in getting set up correctly.

BTW, deleting an account usually does not resolve any issues with it. And, deleting an account deletes all history of that account in Quicken. If the data is old, it might not be downloaded, again, in which case it is lost unless you manually reenter it. In addition, if there are any linked transfers between that account and other accounts, deleting that account will also delete those transactions in the transfer accounts which will throw those accounts out of balance. Most account connection issues can be resolved using other troubleshooting methods that will retain all data and will not adversely impact the account balances in other transfer accounts. Just something to keep in mind for the future.

I finally got some more detail from Quicken support. They basically say this is an ongoing issue with no ETA for solution. They gave me a link to this support page below about the problem.

    From: https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7966170/new-9-18-25-fidelity-net-benefits-not-supporting-complete-investing-at-the-moment/p1?new=1

We are getting users reporting that Fidelity Net Benefits is not supporting Complete Investing in Quicken.

This has been escalated internally, though we do not have an ETA at this time.

To be notified of updates as they become available, please click the bookmark ribbon located in the upper right. If you do not see the bookmark ribbon, please make sure that you are signed into the Quicken Community.

    Thank you!

Here's another Alert that lists all the known issues with downloading from Fidelity with the EWC+ connection method. It includes a fair number of issues with Net Benefits accounts.: UPDATED 10/28/25 Fidelity Updates.

R65.15 is a staged release today. The Manual Patch Update file for it can be downloaded from Quicken for Windows: Manual Patch Update | Quicken . If you have not already updated to R65.15 you might want to consider updating to it now because I does include some fixes/improvements regarding downloading from Fidelity's EWC+ connection, although I do not know what if any fixes for Net Benefits is included in it. Take a look at the release notes (also listed in that Support Article) to gain an understanding of how it might benefit you,
