Does anyone know why this just happened. just started showing up for my investments. Up and down 150K or so between days. Obviously my portfolio did not fluctuate in this manner.

Did you recently add a new investment or start tracking a new account? When Quicken downloads prices for a new asset it will download daily prices for the last month, weekly prices (Friday close of business) for the 11 months prior to that, and monthly prices (last business day of the month) for the 4 years prior to that.

Even if you didn't, it looks like you probably have some bad daily & weekly prices pulling down your portfolio value on those days. I would go through and check the price history for your investments (available via the Securities window) and look for values that are lower than they should be.

the only big thing that has happened was DODGX dodge and cox did a 16:1 split. Had to look up how to handle that. I'll look at that security as a starting point.

ok, DODGX is the culprit, Every friday for a year, the stock does a 16:1 split and then resets the next business day. I tried a rebuild but that didn't work, any ideas.

There have been some other cases recently where after a stock split Quicken started trying to revise all the historical prices as if they were post-split. It sounds like the same thing is happening here. I don't know what to do about it other than report it to Quicken via the Report a Problem option on the Help menu.

it was fairly easy to id the dates in the security and just delete them . Hopefully it doesn't reset them. thanks for the tip and direction.

I'm having the same problem with my Dodge and Cox Stock CL I fund. I'm able to delete the incorrect quotes but they come back when I update my accounts. Did you find a way to permanently delete the incorrect quotes?

I posted about this in another discussion thread (Stock split pricing goes back 1 full year). Haven't found a fix. I deleted some of the dates but Quicken refilled them incorrectly with a refresh. I wonder if this is only affecting Dodge and Cox funds? I don't think anyone has mentioned a similar problem for other securities.

I just checked my Quicken data today and found that more recently Quicken has applied the split prices sporadically back to December 31, 2021. For example, December 30 2021 had correct price for Dodge and Cox funds. December 31 2021 had the split price. January 3 2022 had the correct price again.
