Continual Duplicate Transactions after FIdelity Connection Update

Following the recent connection update for fidelity I got duplicate transations for three of the funds in my portfolio. Additionally, there funds were given a slightly differnet name (usually adding the number 2 or something of the like to the end of the fund name). I went through and deleted all these transactions; however, every time I update my account, these "alternate" duplicate transactions continue to download as a large block with no cost basis, as if the original funds no longer exist. Has anyone else experienced this, and do you have a solution?

It appears that the original funds will no longer update market changes as well…

    Hello @lavoce2011,

Thank you for sharing your experience. I understand how frustrating transitions like this can be, and I am here to help!

Can I have you try merging the duplicate securities, rather than deleting them? Here is a Help Article on merging securities in Quicken for Mac.

I believe the large block of transactions that keep downloading are placeholders. Quicken creates these when it doesn't have all of the information about a security. It sounds like you have been deleting them, but they will keep reappearing if Quicken doesn't have complete data. You can try deleting them after merging securities. But if they reappear, they will need to be resolved.

Aside from placeholders, you may have a 90-day period where transactions could have been duplicated. You will need to manually delete them. Duplicates for that time frame can be expected, but going forward, they should not continue happening.

Let us know how it goes!

I had the same issue and merging the securities seems to solve the problem.
