Why can you undo a reconciliation on a Mac but not in Windows?
I am running Quicken Classic Deluxe on a subscription, and needed to undo the last reconciliation of our checking account because of a duplicate entry. I was unable to find a way to do it, so I looked online for information. I discovered that you can only see past reconciliations and undo reconciliations if you are working on a Mac!?! Why on earth are those same functions not available in Windows?

Because they are two completely different programs with different histories, functionalities and limitations.
On Quicken Windows the only way you can “undo a reconcile” is by selecting the transactions in question and then right click and use the menu option to change the reconcile status to ‘c’.

Or you can always do a backup before you reconcile, then you can go back if you want to redo it or fix something.
I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.
