Quicken tripling a planned expense in Bills & Income

For the past 6 months or Quicken has randomly miscalculated balances after a planned expense or income. My only solution has been to delete the planned transactions and recreate them as they occur. Just today it took one recurring $600 monthly expense and tripled its value during the calculation of the balance. balance drops $1800 every month rather the the $600 value of the expense.

I assume you are looking at the Projected Balances view.

Are all three lines as shown in your image referring to the same account register?
Are there other, non-reminder, transactions in the register which might impact the account's running balance but not show individually in the Projected Balances view?
Actually, what does your account register look like, showing future transactions in the register as if they were real transactions already? Is the Running Balance correct on those days?

Yes, this is only displaying one account. The running balance in the register is correct. The miscalculation only happens on the projected balance, once the reminder entered, Quick correctly adjust the balance. I can delete the reminder, and the issue goes away but at some point, a different reminder will suddenly have the issue. This just started in the past six months or so.

    Hello @scorm22,

Thank you for sharing your experience.

I have some follow-up questions for you.

    • Where is your data file located?
    • Is your file being synced/backed up by any third-party services like OneDrive, Carbonite, or Dropbox?
    • Are you using Quicken Mobile and Web apps?

    Looking forward to your response.

My data file is stored on C drive and backed up on OneDrive.

I am not actively using Quicken or Mobile, I may have logged into Mobile earlier this year

    @scorm22,

Thank you for following up with additional information.

Let's test to see if this information could be caused by the cloud sync. Can I have you delete one of the problem reminders and then reset the Quicken cloud to see if it resolves the issue?

    To do this:

    1. Delete one of the reminders.
    2. Reset the Quicken Cloud.
    3. Add the reminder back into Quicken.

After completing these steps, check to see if the issue still occurs.

    Thank you.
