Data Missing in Summit Credit Union (Madison, Wisconsin) Downloads — Request for Status & Technical Coordination

Hello Quicken Support Team,

I’m writing regarding several ongoing issues with Quicken’s interface to Summit Credit Union (Madison, Wisconsin).

Although our Summit Credit Union account connects successfully, the downloaded transactions into Quicken are missing key information:

  • Payee names and descriptive transaction details (memo/description) are not being transmitted.
  • Also, when invoice or check numbers come into Quicken from Summit, many arrive with an unexpected six-zero prefix (e.g., “00000012345”). This occurs after a check originally written in Quicken is cashed at Summit, and the returned information is then transmitted back to Quicken.
  • Our business, Rock Cheese Company, uses ACH transfers between Quicken and Summit as part of our payment workflow, and these issues occur consistently with those downloads.
  • Summit Credit Union’s technical staff is willing to speak directly with Quicken’s technical team to assist in resolving these problems.

Could you please advise:

  1. Are these issues known to Quicken—specifically missing payee details and the six-zero check number prefix?
  2. Is Quicken currently working on a fix, and if so, what is the expected timeline?
  3. Would Quicken be willing to coordinate with Summit’s technical staff to identify and correct the data-feed inconsistencies?
  4. Is there any recommended workaround while these issues are being addressed?

Thank you very much for your help. Accurate transaction data is essential for our business accounting, and we would appreciate any guidance or next steps you can provide.

Best regards,
William T. Rock

You posted in a Q Canada forum, but you reported using a US financial institution. Is that correct?
