PayPal

There was a time when there were 3 separate accounts set up for PayPal; now there is apparently one

1 account is a Credit card account.

2 pay over 6 months, 12 months, ETC.

3. was a debit card account.

Now it appears there is only one account in Quicken.

Also, I have caught it charging the PayPal account, and then I get a credit, not sure where that is going.

Thank you in advance.

    Hello @Richard Sturgeon,

Thank you for sharing this information. I am happy to help.

To clarify, are you saying that you once had three PayPal accounts in your Quicken file and now you only have one? I have some follow-up questions for you.

    • What types of accounts were these?
      • 1 Debit, 1 Credit, and what else?
      • Which ones are missing, and which one is present?
    • When did this issue begin?
    • When you say it is charging the PayPal account, what exactly do you mean by that?
      • Is this a $1.00 charge that gets reimbursed?
    • Is this the account you have your Quicken subscriptions' automatic renewal set up with?

    Looking forward to your response.

One was a pay over time no interest.

The only present is the credit card account.

When a presentation to the bank for payment it is showing a credit and a debit,

Quicken subscription is not coming out of the pay pal account.

    @Richard Sturgeon,

    Thank you for following up.

I am unsure why you would be seeing that $1 charge/credit. The only reasons this would happen is if you have this account set up for your Quicken subscriptions auto-renewal. OR if you are trying to set up Check Pay with Quicken Bill Manager.

The auto-renewal account gets a verification charge. It basically just checks to make sure the payment method is good.

The Check Pay set up would be two micro-deposits that equal up to a dollar. In both scenarios, the charges get reimbursed.

I think it would be best if you gave Quicken Support a call, so they can see what that charge is for, and they can also check to see why you have accounts missing as well. They will be able to gather log files from you and escalate the situation if needed.

    Thanks again!
