Quicken won't update 2 separate AMEX accounts

My wife and I have 2 separate AMEX accounts, and until recently both updated just fine using One Step Update, but recently Quicken will only recognize one account. Does anyone know of a work around for this?

    First troubleshooting step is to try Resetting the accounts. If that doesn't work, try deactivating and reactivating the accounts.

    I tried deactivating both and then reactivating to no avail.

    I assume you and your wife are setup on the American Express account. If so, things changed a while back. One of you will need to be on American Express and the other on American Express - Delegate.

    Be forewarned, multi-factor is broken on the Delegate account and has yet to be fixed by Quicken/American Express. You will be prompted to enter a code every time you update the Delegate account.

    Hello All,

    Thank you to those of you who have added to this thread.

    @jhowin,

    I do have some follow-up questions for you.

    • Are you seeing any error codes?
    • Are your accounts and your wife's accounts managed under one set of credentials or two sets?
    • Is the problem you are seeing that if you connect one account, it disconnects the other?
    • Or is it that one of the accounts is not available to be authorized?
    • Does the account show up during the authorization process, but Quicken doesn't bring it over?

    The more details you can provide, the better.

    Thank you.
