Reauthorization Issues with Merrill Lynch

When I reauthorized my accounts with Bank of America and Merrill Lynch, all seemed to go properly. The accounts seemed be reauthorized and the Bank of America accounts are downloading fine but none of the Merrill Lynch transactions download even though they were linked to the proper Quicken accounts.

I have reauthorized the accounts several times with no errors and the same result.

Please let me know what to try next.

Mahalo,
Cliff

    Hello @Kaimuki,

    Thank you for sharing your experience.

    I am curious, when reauthorizing, did you revoke access from the financial institution's website as well? These are the steps:

    1. Save a Backup. Steps can be found in this article if needed.

    2. Disconnect ALL Bank of America/Merrill Lynch accounts in Quicken. Here are the steps on how to do that.

    3. Revoke Quickens Third-Party Access from the Merrill Lynch/Bank of America website.

    4. Add accounts back into Quicken

    Once back in Quicken, you will want to make sure you choose the "LINK to existing" option for any of the accounts that were already in Quicken.

    Let me know if this resolves the issue.

    @Kaimuki,

    Thank you for coming back to let us know the issue was resolved. If you need more help, don't hesitate to reach out.

    @jrider,

    Thank you for adding to this discussion. I have some follow-up questions for you.

    • When was the last successful download into this account?
    • Do you log in to the same bank website to see this account as you do the other accounts that are working?
    • When you went through the steps above, you had to authorize your accounts for use in Quicken. Did you see this account listed as one you could authorize?
    • After authorizing the accounts, you are redirected back to Quicken. Was the account listed with the others, so you could link them to the existing accounts?
      • Did you see "don't add to Quicken" for this account instead of the Add/Link options?

    Looking forward to your response.
