Export selected financial transactions to a CSV file
How come one can directly create a CSV file to IMPORT banking transactions but you can't do that for a an EXPORT.
I saw a "goofy" method; create a transaction list, export it to Excel, then save the Excel file as a CSV file. Really messy IMHO when I want to rebuild transactions from PDF files and I want to match the required format to import a CSV file. Quicken allows the creation of a sample file and indicates a few rows are for older applications. But why can't I download some of my data so I can accurately create a file of new transactions AND be reasonably confident it won't take a long time to get the field matching to work?

You can export a report's data to CSV format by using the print command and then selecting Export to: CSV file.
But the purpose or Excel for that format isn't for "round trip" back into Quicken.
