In Budget, Distinguish Between Taxable and Tax-Free Dividend/Interest Income
Hi,
So I have a Fidelity CMA Account, which holds a short-term treasury government money market fund. And I want to include dividends from that fund in my budget as income. But I don't want to include dividends from retirement accounts or tax-free accounts because, well, I don't plan on ever touching that money, and while it contributes to my net worth, I'm not planning on using it as spendable income. Same with interest in tax-free accounts. So, I'd like a way to separate the dividends into two categories. It looks like at one point it might have been possible, but the feature doesn't exist now.

Can you accomplish what you want by excluding the retirement and tax free accounts from your budget?

Wow, a thing I've never noticed you can do before. Yes, yes I can. Consider this resolved and no longer necessary.
