Schwab HSA account not downloading CC-800 error says Deleted Schwab account

HSA/Lively account appeared to be working fine, but I discovered that quotes were not being updated for several weeks when I reconciled the HSA Holdings to Schwab. However, Transactions and Reconciliation worked with no problem. It appeared that the only problem was not updating the Market values.

Then, about a week ago, before Thanksgiving, the One Step Update gives: CC-800 'one or more accounts at Schwab have been deleted,' and the HSA account is not included in the list of accounts which were updated; all other Schwab accounts are showing as updated.

With Support 5 or 6 times, in two different calls: opened and deactivated each individual Schwab account using the Online Services tab in the Account List/Detail for all Schwab accounts, then went through the online reactivation. All accounts, including the HSA account, show as having access/link at Schwab per the Security tab.

Then, on redirect from Schwab, confirmation of activation to Quicken to activate online services accounts.

1. Schwab accounts showing on the Quicken reactivation do not include the HSA account, and

2. I am offered the choice to 'link to existing Quicken account' for all the other Schwab accounts listed.

If I try to activate online access ONLY FOR the HSA account from the Account List/Detail /Online Services, I go through the Schwab activation, showing, once again, that all accounts are activated at Schwab.

Then redirect to Quicken screen to Quicken's Activate One Step Update.

The HSA account is, again, not listed and all the other Schwab accounts are listed BUT with the only option showing is 'Don't add to Quicken' - - -Why would Quicken not give me the option to link the existing Schwab accounts when attempting to Active On-Line Services the the Account List/Detail/On-Line Services - and no other options other than 'Don't add to Quicken'?

I select NEXT (my only other option is Cancel). That activation screen closes, and back to the Quicken Home Screen.

Then One Step Update is run, and same CC-800 screen, all other Schwab accounts show as Updated, and the Account List shows all but the Schwab HSA account as "Yes -Express Web Connect".

Could the problem be with the linking of accounts with the required HSA administrator, Lively, and Schwab, which is required in order to have an HSA investment account with Schwab?

Given that this is apparently happening with Franklin, I'm wondering if Quicken access/link and HSA administrators (Lively in my case) access/link are causing the issue/account confusion at Quicken.

I have the same problem. Was able to download before, but now, Quicken shows the account as available for download from Schwab but then after I clicked the checkbox on the page to allow the account info to be shared with Quicken, Quicken said the account did not exist in Schwab

    Hello @RAFSF & @cluu,

Thank you both for sharing your experiences. It sounds like you both are experiencing something similar, but possibly slightly different as well.

I am curious if you both revoked third-party access for these accounts before reconnecting them? The steps to follow for the whole process are as follows:

    1. Save a Backup. Steps can be found in this article if needed.

    2. Disconnect ALL Schwab accounts in Quicken. Here are the steps on how to do that.

    3. Check for Hidden Accounts and make sure they are disconnected too.

    4. Revoke Quickens Third-Party Access from the Schwab website.

    5. Add accounts back into Quicken

Once back in Quicken, you will want to make sure you choose the "LINK to existing" option for any accounts that are already in Quicken.

Let me know how it goes.

Yes - I have done all that with Quicken help instructing me with screen share - at least 5, maybe 6 times over 2 calls for help.

And each time confirmed on Schwab site that access had been revoked and reinstated.

Could Lively's (HSA admin) access link with Schwab be the problem - they are the only other organization that has Schwab access??
