Transaction updates cause duplicate transactions

When I open Quicken and make an update to any existing transactions, it causes the next transaction to be replaced by a duplicate of the transaction just updated. After Quicken shutdown/Restart everything returns to normal.

It sounds like the data file is not updating correctly until you relaunch the software, and I'd suspect the data file integrity. First step I would try is validating the data file. I'd also log off of Quicken and log back on to make sure that the communication with the Quicken servers is good.
