Add Report Export to Excel file option (better than just CSV)

My wife has Classic Quicken for IBM Machines installed on her computer and I have Quicken for Mac installed on my Mac Air book. I'm working on our taxes and I like to put things into Excel to further categorize and study our tax reports. In IBM Quicken, I can export directly to an xls file while with the Mac Quicken I can only export to a CSV or TXT file. Gotta tell ya, That Excel export is a lot nicer and easier to work with than it is to work with a CSV file. Is it possible to add that feature to Quicken for Mac?

    @gsdubz Out of curiosity for those of us who have never used Quicken Windows: what about the Quicken Windows export to an Excel file is significantly easier to work with than opening the CSV file exported from Quicken Mac? Is it just that there's some formatting in the Excel file which doesn't exist in CSV files?

    Quicken windows exports the file as an excel file with proper formatting. So, rows are rows and columns are columns and numbers are numbers and dates are dates (Excel number dates).

    The csv file exported from Quicken Mac comes in as a table with the rows and columns in a kind of quirky size. Everything is text, so you have to format dates and numbers after importing. There may be a way to modify the text so that it is imported in the format you want, but it is not intuitive in the Excel data query process.

    The Excel file created in Quicken Windows is perfect. No extra steps need to be taken to create a functional file.
