Upgrade timeline from Deluxe to Premier

I am currently using the Windows version Quicken Deluxe and just bought the Premier version from Walmart. I remember reading somewhere that the upgrade or downgrade of any Quicken version goes into effect immediately on activation. This is irrespective of how much time is left in the current subscription. My Deluxe version is valid till May 2026. Do you think I can activate my Premier version now without losing 5 months of my subscription?

    Yes, you can activate your Premier version now. If you do, the remaining time on your subscription will not be lost; rather, it will be prorated and added to the end of your new subscription term.

    Since Premier is a higher tier than Deluxe, your 5 months left of Deluxe would be worth slightly less time on Premier, maybe 4 months. So when you add the new Premier subscription, you will end up with about 1 year and the additional 4 months, for a total of approximately 16 months.
