Give me the ability to control the categories on the graphs. I do not want to show realized gains and losses on as income for the month. I just want to be able to see the "real" money that is coming into the account. AND, please fix it so that the transfer does not override my home mortgage from showing in the expenses!

If I had control over the categories in regard to the graph, it would enable me to tailor the report, ultimately giving me the information to make better financial decisions.

I was told by my accountant who has Quicken for Windows that he is about to control these features on his version of Quicken. Why cannot Mac users do the same?

Just for understanding and clarity of your request… You want to be able to include some, but not all, types of investment income in the Income and Expense card? You want to be able to have it show dividend income and capital gains from your securities, but exclude realized gains/losses from security sales?

Since that capability does not exist currently, the workaround currently would be to create a summary or detailed transaction report — which you can tailor by both accounts and categories. Such a saved report can get you the data you want in just a few clicks.
