Oh, you're talking about the columns, not the graph. Sorry, I didn't pick up on that. Yes, the time frame buttons only control the chart, not the columns below, and there's only one column available for Realized Gain (the YTD one). If you want other Realized Gain columns added you should create a Product Idea thread suggesting that, I don't think there is one currently.

I think you want the "Max" option all the way to the right.

I'm assuming "Life to date" means the lifetime of whatever you're looking at.

Jon: Thanks for your response. Yes, you are right I want lifetime. Unfortunately, that is not working. Regardless of which I click on, I get only YTD (based on the date in the "Date as of" window) for the "portfolio" "realized gain." That said, the graph does change as I select different periods but as you know the graphs only shows value.

    Open to all recommendations.

An inelegant workaround: create a Schedule D Tax Report, set the date range to All Dates, and Export the report to a CSV file. Opening the file in your spreadsheet of choice, you can quickly delete the sections for reinvested capital gains and just keep the section for realized gains. The report is sorted by security, but you can tweak the data however you want to see it.
