Secondary sort of transactions
When I edit one of many transactions for a single date (not changing the date), after completion the display can re-sort the transactions within the date. When the register is updated, many times the updated transaction is displayed on two consecutive lines and one of the transactions appears to be missing. It seems the database isn’t updated, because I can immediately exit and re-open Quicken but is extremely inconvenient.
Is there a secondary sort going on that changes the order? The real bug is that the display isn’t updating correctly. This has been happening for a while and I keep hoping with every update it will be corrected

By what you're describing, I suspect that your register(s) are, in fact, not sorted by date.
