After running "Update Accounts" why does the dot always appear next to a specific account?

For several months I have had an issue with one of my accounts when running “Update Accounts.” After running “Update Accounts” my E*TRADE account always has a dot next to it indicating there are updates even when there are no updates displayed. I have not found a way to correct this. More than once I have tried a “Validate and Repair File,” but it had no effect on the issue. I have never gotten an error code when this happens. I am using Quicken version R65.29 on a Laptop with Windows 11 Pro. Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

When this occurs have you ever gone over to the Online Center to see if that transaction or transactions are sitting there?

From time to time I've experienced this - a red flag next to the Account - with no transactions appearing in the Downloaded Transactions area and found it sitting in the Online Center. Seems to be some glitch associated with EWC+. Is this problem Account using EWC+?

There is always a dot next to the account name indicating a downloaded transaction, but there are usually no new transactions anywhere, not even the Online Center. This account uses DC, not EWC.

Are you using Automatic Entry for newly downloaded transactions, allowing them into the Register or Transaction List as they are downloaded? If you are, then try turning that off.

I seem to remember that there was a problem of allowing Automatic Entry sometimes would create the false impression that there were downloaded transactions when there actually weren't any. If that doesn't fix it then turn that option back on.

Yes I was and I figured out that was the problem. After turning that off I was able to clear the transactions and the problem is resolved. Thanks for your input.
