Discover downloading duplicates since transition to Capital One

Using Quicken Premier for Windows, Version R32.29, Build 27.1.65.29 with Windows 11.

Had no trouble updating Discover to connect to Capital One. But, ever since then, when downloading transactions, Quicken downloads some month old transactions that were already in the register and already reconciled! For instance, today, February 14, 2026 it downloaded three transactions dated January 14, 2026 and one transaction dated January 15, 2023, in addition to correctly downloading one transaction dated February 12 and another dated February 13.

All four of the January transactions were already in the register and marked as Reconciled. It is too easy to just Accept the old transactions, not realizing they are duplicates and winding up with a register that does not match reality.

    Thank you for sharing your experience and reporting the issues you are running into.

    There are a few possible causes of duplicate transactions. You can attempt the steps provided below to resolve this issue, otherwise you can restore a backup from before the start of the issue. For steps to restore a backup, click here. You can also contact Quicken Support for assistance. 

    To resolve the issue, we'll first need to determine what's causing these duplicates by looking at the Downloaded ID for these transactions:

    Step 1: Add the Downloaded ID column to your register

    1. Click on the Register Columns gear icon at the top right of the account register.

    1. Place a check mark next to Downloaded ID, then click Done. (If you use Two-Line Display, you will need to select Downloaded ID and Downloaded reference)

    1. Review the Downloaded ID. This is the unique identifier for each downloaded transaction. It is used by Quicken to determine which transactions have been downloaded and which ones need to be downloaded.
