Bill Reminder due dates become out of sync

This is a continuation of my previous post that was closed.

Bill reminders continue to be out of sync.

Here is my original post:

I have Bill Reminders set up for weekly transactions. When I go to post the transactions, I find that the due date has already been moved up 7 days into the future without them being entered into my register.

E.g. Today is 1/8/2026. I wanted to post my transactions from 1/6/2026 and 1/7/2026. The Bill and Income Reminder screen show them as being due 1/13/2026 and 1/14/2026.

I've tried several of the remedies suggested but none see to work. I changed the reminder for the weekly to 6 days instead of 7 and the seemed to work…until it didn't! Now I have monthly's that, up to this point worked perfectly. Now they are skipping the "Overdue" status too and just simply advancing to the next occurrence without entry into the register.

    Hi @DennisDe,

Thank you for starting a new thread so we can continue looking into this.

Since this issue has persisted and your previous thread was closed before we could confirm the outcome, I’d like to check a couple of additional things.

Have you tried creating a copy of your data file to see whether the reminders behave correctly in the copied file?

You will find the steps to create a copy here:

Sometimes creating a copy refreshes the internal file structure and resolves issues that validation alone cannot fix.

Additionally, a few things that may help narrow this down:

    • Are you using Online Billers or Bill Pay for any of the affected reminders?
    • Do the due dates change after running One Step Update?
    • Did this begin after a recent Quicken or Windows update?

These details can help determine whether the behavior is file-related or being triggered by syncing/downloading activity.

Please let me know what you find, and we’ll take the next steps from there.

@DennisDe I see from your screen capture that you have download of pending transactions enabled. There have been reports of pending transactions incorrectly matching reminders and causing the reminder to skip its next occurrence. I would try disabling pending transactions to see if your reminders stop skipping their next occurrence.
