Fidelity CC-601

The migration from DD to EWC+ that began way back in August 2025….has had a negative impacted on my Quicken Fidelity accts…. The Cash\FCash issue….this latest CC-601 Connection error. Today for the 1st time since the Non-Connection CC-601 started last week…I connected with Fidelity. But that may sound like new news…it is NOT. During the week when I could not connect with Fidelity….I was trading…Buying and Selling….

The Successful connection did NOT download any of my activity that took place during the CC-601 non-connection issue. Further more, not only did the activity not Download….Quicken did NOT display the MisMatch POPUP that you would see if\when Fidelity shows XYZ Shares…and Quicken Shows "0" shares.

I mean does this now mean Buys\Sells during the CC-601 outage means all activity during that outage must now be somehow…entered Manually?

I tried to bring this to the attention of Quicken by adding this to the Moderators Community Post tracking this issue…but you cannot add comments to her POST…..

Same problem here. No longer getting CC-601 errors, but still not downloading transactions. So there is still a long way to go to fix this. I tried resetting accounts and got messages that the accounts can't be found.

This is how to FORCE transactions to download.

    Open Acct Register

Go to GEAR Icon upper Right

Press and Hold Ctrl & Shift together…and click on the dropdown menu UPDATE TRANSITIONS

Connect with Fidelity…this forces a connection that will download Transitions

    It worked for me

I tried the suggestion above (Update Transactions from gear menu). I got a pop-up saying "Also re-download earlier transactions?", and clicked Yes, but nothing downloaded.

Sorry it didn't work for you… After you followed the steps…did you than go and do a OSU just for Fidelity? Online Center…select Fidelity…Update

I didn't try the OSU before, but tried it now. It downloaded transactions, including many older ones. I have been using a different PC to experiment, since I don't want to hose my real files. I'll try later on the "other" PC. Thanks for your suggestions.

It might have downloaded more transaction because your older File may have not connected to update prior to the Outage. The Trans that downloaded for me…were from the day the Outage started to current… I'm sure that will work for you. My experience with Fidelity…from its conversion to EWC+ back in August has been a mess. I have experienced MisMatched Stock shares, Cash saving both as a security and just cash both with the Acct….and of course this CC-601. Correcting all these issues has been an education for sure. I just hope Vanguard were I also have accts…I diversify…does not decide to change the connection to EWC+.

I have heard all the arguments about EWC+ has a superior Security protocol…of course it does. Its a One-Way connection…downloading only which protects the Financial Intuitions from possible customers uploading issues. My push back to that, I know of no incident …and I used DirectConnect from when it was introduced at my Bank since 2001…and never heard of any Breaches…or issues with the Banks. Now instead of doing entry work (Transfers\Payments) Once…in Quicken and Uploading those Instructions…I must do the entry work Twice…once in Quicken and also at the Banks site. Software should be developed to save time and work…not to increase. Surely the smart IT developers at Quicken and the Banks could have found a way to improve DirectConnect making it More secure to meet the Mandates that were handed down…as I was told…by a Federal Gov't Security Directive.

    Hello @denmarfl & @prtaylor56,

Thank you for reporting the issues you are running into.

I am happy to see that you both may have found a way to resolve this. We recently had an alert for various issues with Fidelity. It was recently marked resolved, but the Alert asks for anyone still experiencing issues with Fidelity to contact Quicken Support directly so these can be escalated on a case-by-case basis.

    Thanks again!

I have suggested to Fidelity that they provide the option of downloading transactions to a QFX file, as I believe Vanguard does. Maybe folks at Quicken can push Fidelity to do that. It would allow a backup around intermittent (and ongoing) server connection issues.
