Renaming rules are still ignored for Fidelity downloads after EWC+ cutover

I was hoping that version R66.23 of Quicken would have resolved this issue, but it did not. Quicken is not processing renaming rules for Fidelity transaction downloads. Hopefully, this issue is still scheduled to be fixed.

Renaming Rules to not define category splits as a result of a downloaded transaction. They may, however, point the renamed Payee Name to either a Memorized Payee List entry or a Scheduled Reminder.

In the case of your SSA deposit, I suggest you work around the issue for the time being. It might take many more months until the programmers can get a handle on things.
Set up a Scheduled Reminder with proper category splits, to remind you 7 - 10 days before due date. These days SSA deposits do not occur exactly when scheduled on 3rd Wednesday. Some banks may deposit the money up to 3 business days early.
Execute the reminder when you know the money has actually arrived in your account.
Next time you download transactions, you should be able to match the download to the already entered register transaction and everything will be correct.

For the interest deposit, a Memorized Payee List entry might help. Again, if the downloaded transaction doesn't create a renamed new transaction from the MPL, manually create a new transaction and manually match it to the download.

Enough with the "work around" stuff. I know … this word is the 2nd-most disliked word in the Community … ☺️
