pending transactions for merril lynch dividends categorized wrong
Pending dividend transactions are downloaded and recorded in Quicken as an un-categorized deposit. When the dividend transaction clears, Quicken re-downloads the transaction and records it correctly as a dividend. I end up with duplicate entries for the transaction.

It is on Merrill side. (ongoing problem). For me, I just delete the deposit that comes in a day before the correct Dividend transaction comes in.

Is there any information from Quicken that confirms this is a Merrill issue. This only started recently for me so it has not been ongoing. I have disabled pending transaction for now as manual deletion of the duplicate records is not tenable.

There was several threads when the issue started after a change made at Merrill.

On the plus side - Merrill now downloads security purchases and sales almost within a few minutes of them completing, but this ongoing issue with Dividend Reinvestments is very annoying and takes a lot of time to manage if you have many securities set up for DRIPs. Sending us a Credit and Debit transaction and then a day or two later a ReinvDiv transaction is extremely cumbersome to manage and leads to mistakes.
Someone at Quicken needs to reach out to Merrill and get this fixed - It's why we pay you money for subscriptions. 🤨😠😡

Might very well be time to evaluate if there is any value in paying a subscription. Especially given the complete lack of any support involvement. Seems Quicken and BOA are in divorce proceedings. One of my accounts can no longer download transactions or view them. Replaced with minimally useful panels. None of my accounts can download transaction in a Quicken format any longer.
