I agree wholeheartedly with your request to Quicken on the treatment of cash sweep activity. My brokerage treats cash as a mutual fund type. I have no ability to get Quicken to treat sweep activity as cash.

I will say that I use one work-a-round, but it too has its own drawbacks. I have made all of the sweep accounts that have money market symbols as hidden securities. The problem is however that I will ALWAYS get "Securities Mismatch" warning boxes show up, but they are blank. I have to click on "Done" and they disappear, which is an inconvenient extra step, but I find that it is preferable to having an actual mismatched entry, since it never goes away. I hope that helps.
