Same continuing problem . I've tried everything. The only thing that works is a direct download of a QRX (??) file from the Citicard site and then importing into Quicken. Two sessions with Quicken humans in the Philippines failed as well. Let us know if you find a really good alternative to Quicken.

Same problem as original post. Have tried all suggestions. Only valid work-around is to download a QFX file from Citi & then upload it into Quicken.
-
Problem still unresolved. Tried removing Quicken from Citibank site and then trying to re-add my Quicken-deleted Mastercard account. Still same blank, white Citi screens. Spoke with representative of Quicken's CEO who called me and "made notes". He did not seem overly concerned.
-
This supposed work-a-round with importing QFX files is clumsy. Quicken needs to have a long conversation with Citi about fixing what used to work seamlessly.
-
OK. I download the .QFX file. Thank you. Once it is imported via Quicken, where will I see it such that transactions can be allocated to the appropriate expense accounts? The problem I have with doing the Citi download using the One Step Update route is that the genius (human) at Quicken Support had me delete the Citi…

Assuming one can download a QIF file from Citi Mastercard, how does it get imported into Quicken such that the format is appropriately recognized?

As of 2/23/2024 the connection problem still exists. Spoke with humans at both Quicken & Citibank who point fingers at each other. Out of desperation I wrote a snail-mail letter (yes, there still is such a thing) to the CEO of Quicken requesting further escalation. Clearing cache on Chrome & attempts to set up existing…

Yes. Now it's going to be a 2-step process. Q must be deaf or foolishly greedy.
-
Excellent explanation that should have been provided by Q to all Q users along with instructions on how to switch over to the new connection type.
-
The "Important Notice" from Q says, "To keep Q connected to your Bank Of America account, you'll need to switch your communication method on or before October 10,2022". How does one make this switch? What is the alternative communication method?
-
If it merely was a revenue question for Q, then why not just raise the annual fee & leave everything else alone? Not sure if it's the banks pressuring Q, true technical incompatibility between BOA & Q, or unwillingness of Q to fix the problem.
-
Q is deliberately being difficult in explaining the mechanics of what is about to happen with BOA. Not sure why they could not reach an agreement with BOA to alter the Q software so we could continue as we have for many years. Obviously Q want to sell us their "bolt on" software package which they fail to explain how it…

None of the references above discuss how to integrate the Quicken Bill Manager app with an EXISTING Quicken Deluxe app. Moreover, there is no reference to a free trial period mentioned by your staff earlier in the month.
-
How does a user of Quicken Deluxe integrate Quicken Bill Manager into the Quicken Deluxe app? Is it free for 2 years for Quicken Deluxe?? What happens after 3 years?
-
Looks to me like if you stay with Quicken, you are going to have a 2 step process. Go out to your bank's site & pay the bills. Then go into Quicken & re-enter the transaction(s) charging the appropriate expense(s). This cries out for a re-thinking.
-
Looks like a major loss of functionality. Are other banks subject to these same restrictions?
-
This is a major loss of functionality. Will similar problems arise with other banks like Chase? Other than finding a new app, what's the easiest work-around?

Quicken's Aug 30 email references "Bank Of America Bill Pay in Quicken". Is this separate & distinct from Quicken's "generic" method of paying bills via one's BOA checking account?
-
Quicken owes it's customers a more detailed explanation of the relationship between BOA checking accounts & Quicken's bill paying capabilities.

Thanks again. Amex was notified 2 years ago.

Thank you, UKR. I deactivated the account (I think) using the Tools--->Manage Hidden Accounts menu & checking the box for "Close Account". Looks like this will solve the problem.

My version (R29.23) does not show this feature as it relates to credit card transactions that are accessed by the 1 step update. I'll wait for new transactions to be posted to my credit to look for this feature to reappear. See below for screen shot:
-
When using the One Step Update for 1 particular account, there is no separate box showing transactions to be positioned in the register. Transactions are immediately positioned (frequently with wrong vendor name & account) into the register. A preview box would give the user the option of accepting one, some or all of the…

Looks like downloads are, in fact, received & immediately placed within account history (i.e. register). However, recent app revisions do not preview the new transactions prior to insertion.
