Re: One step update not working
Go to the account register and select ⚙️ > Update Now. This will connect and update when OSU will not.
Re: "Sign in as different user" Crashes Quicken
If you have not already, I would suggest running a file validate to check for data errors. File>File Operations>Validate. After completing the validate, reattempt to sign out/in.

Re: Uninstall and Reinstall
Yes you can uninstall/reinstall, but you will not lose your data. That is stored separately. The question is why do you feel you need to uninstall?
