Is it possible to delete securities that have been sold and have a zero balance? I have investments from 2000 that appear in Portfolio View that I would like to clean this up.

If they are zero, hide them.  If you delete them, the networth report will no longer show assets during the time that you owned the stocks and the report will be worthless.

You cannot delete a security from the Security List for as long as you have a single transaction in any account register referring to this security.

If the Portfolio View shows "closed lots" (securities for which you have sold all shares), you can click the Options gear icon in the view and click to deselect "Show closed lots".
