Can anyone explain how Quicken Windows 2018 performs its "buy and hold" calculation (under investment performance, growth of $10,000) and what is the "cash yield" option?

Click the What is Growth of $10,000 link below the chart, then expand the section About comparing... to see Quicken's explanation.
Basically it assumes you kept the same securities you had at the start of the period, reinvesting any distributions. It assumes zero return for non-quoted securities and the return you set for any cash in the account.QWin Premier subscription1
