Is your register sorted in date order? Click the DATE column heading and check the filter settings at the top.

    All accounts?  Just some?
If just one (or some) have you tried clicking the RESET button at the top of those account registers?

If all, are you sure that you opened the CURRENT Q data file ... and not one from 5-6 years ago?

Also, usually, Q account registers are sorted so that the OLDEST transactions are at the top, and the newest at the bottom.  Is this the way that your's are sorted?  Click on the DATE column header to put them into this order.

it happens to all accounts the file I am using is dated 9/17/2018 and is the newest file on the system.  the newest transaction (11/29/2013)  is on the top the oldest trans  (11/20/2013) is on the bottom

How did you determine "newest file on the system"?  Last used date is just that ... the last time that you opened the file, and we already know that you've opened this file today.

What happens when you open, and inspect, other Q data files?
Do you have backups that you can restore, and inspect them.

Because, more than anything else, it sounds like you opened an old Q data file.

I finally created a new file, added accounts and it is now working as it should.  The old file said it was updated, it was positioned correctly in the register. but no data since 2013, beats me what was going on but it works now,  Thanks
