What are the steps to set up a mortgage in Quicken Windows?

Tools > Add Account > LoanAlthough Quicken does have the ability to connect with various financial institutions in order to download mortgage information many aspects of Quicken's implementation of this feature have proven to be problematic. I'd suggest instead clicking the "manual loan account" link and setting the loan up as a manual loan. Selecting that link starts a Quicken "loan wizard" that should walk you through the process.
