Quicken Overwrites my Investment Lot Changes

I converted my file from Quicken Windows to Quicken Mac last year. I'm starting to think that was a terrible mistake as this version is less than not so great.
For one of my investments, there is a purchase from before I made the conversion. The number of shares in the purchase is not the same as what is shown in the portfolio purchase lot history. I have deleted this purchase and re-entered it. But no matter what I do, the portfolio history has this made up number. To prove:
From the transaction detail:
From expanding the security in the portfolio view:
See how the shares are different? The transaction is correct, but that 5,339.5266 keeps coming back no matter what I do. Seems like a re-index command would be helpful here. There are NO other transactions for that security.
What should I do to make this go away. Clearly some data is corrupted somewhere. Thanks.

Have you looked through all your transactions (specifically, the beginning of the register) to make sure you don't have a placeholder transaction coming into play? It will show up in light gray.6

You can read this FAQ article about placeholder transactions for more information:

Generally, the resolution is to delete the placeholder, then create a manual entry to get your share balance correct.Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19932
