Net Worth calculation
tim_walker55
Is there any way to mark an account to be excluded from the net worth calculation? I have accounts I wish to keep track of (e.g. Life Insurance Surrender value) but I don't wish to have that account balance count towards my net worth value. Please advise

Yes
The feature for exactly that purpose is to Keep this account separate
Edit account details and select display options
Check the box for keep account separate
(It will default to not showing up in some reports etc.. BUT all you need do is include it and it shows up like all other accounts when wanted)

To exclude an account from the

Ctrl + Shift + E
, select the
Display Options
tab, check
Keep this account separate...
, and select
OK

If you mean you want to exclude the account from the net worth shown at the bottom of the account bar, then you need to edit the Account Details, and on the Display Options tab check the box to keep the account Separate:
If you want to exclude the accounts from the Net Worth report, customise the report by deselecting the accounts in the Accounts tab:
