Is it possible to move a security from one account to a new account?

I would like to move a security and all of the detailed transactions (i.e., purchases, dividend reinvestments, etc.) from one account to a new account with a simple click. I realize I could just reenter the data in the new account but there are many transactions.

If the holding is actually moving from one account to another, the normal way to do this would be to go to the old account, click on Enter Transactions, select Shares transferred between accounts, and provide the requested information. This will enter one Removed transaction in the old account and one Added transaction for each tax lot you currently hold in the new account. Be patient, this may take some time.
Back up your data file first in case the result is not what you intended.
All the cost basis information will be transferred to the new account. The old transactions will remain in the old account, because that is where they occurred in real life.
If you want to analyze performance for a period that spans the move date, you should include both accounts in the analysis.
If the holding has been in a different account all along and you are trying to put it where it should have been, post back and we may be able to help with that situation. The challenge will be that moving any Buy, Sell, or Dividend transactions will mess up the cash balances in both accounts.QWin Premier subscription9
