how can I set up a set of Quicken accounts entirely separately from my own?
Carol's daughter
Hi -- long-time Quicken user, but I have taken over my mom's finances and want to know how I can set up her accounts on my Quicken without having them part of my own. I have my whole set-up for my household, and I want to open up an entirely separate set-up for her, with her own accounts and categories, etc. How do I do that?

Not stated explicitly but implied by GeoffG, the data in Quicken is kept in a file, not the program and you can have as many files as you want, each independent of the other files. Quicken will remember the last four in the recent files list at the bottom of the File menu.
