Tracking investments based on industry [edited]
XLS Wizzard
Hi - I would like to submit a suggestion for a future Quicken update. I don't really care about tracking my investments based on whether they are "Canadian stocks", "US Stocks" or "International Stocks". What I would rather be tracking is the asset class that I can define such as Financials, Technology, Consumer, Health Care, Real Estate, Energy etc. It looks like there might be a work around for that but it seems messy.

In the Investing Portfolio views you can include the Industry/Category column and group your holdings by Industry. The Industry data is downloaded with the quotes and is only available for individual stocks, not funds or ETFs.
You can also define an "Investing Goal" for each of your securities and group on that parameter.
