Display financial institution name on account balances and networth report
Buyan Kumar
Hi,
I am amazed by the lack of customization of reports on Quicken. I just want to display the financial institution name on the account balances and networth report. How can I do this easily? Why is their no way to create a customized report from scratch on quicken?
Buyan

You can also put the FI name in each account's Description field in the Account Details dialog. Then enable the "Both" setting in reports preferences to display account names and descriptions.
One problem with displaying Quicken's idea of the FI is that those sometimes are peculiar to Quicken, like "Bank of America-All Other States" which maybe made sense years ago, but no longer does.

You can give an account any name you want, so calling the account "My IRA - Fidelity" might meet your needs.
You can also export reports to Excel and manipulate them there if you want.
