I need ot create a budget but not all my accounts should be included. How can I do this? For instance my kids have accounts I track but their food purchases is not something I want in my budget.

Hello Scott2020,
Unfortunately, accounts cannot be excluded from the budget at this time.
One option would be to hide the kid's accounts while viewing the budget, the transactions then won't show in the budget.
This option can be found under Accounts > Hide and show accounts.
The option for 'Lists' and 'Reports' need to both be checked.
Another option would be to change the category for these food purchases, so the category could then be excluded from the budget.
The transactions could be bulk edited to save time.To bulk edit transactions:
- First, ensure that the accounts you want to edit are not hidden.
- In the Quicken sidebar, select All Transactions.
- Click in the Search field, then click search icon and select the option Category. Then type Car in the search field. All the transactions associated with the category Car are displayed.
- Select all these transactions.
- Go to File > Get Info. The Transactions Info window is displayed.
- In the Category field, enter the required category name. In this case, enter Automobile and click OK. All the selected transactions that were associated with the category Car are now associated with the category Automobile.
- Now, delete the category Car.
Similarly, you can do a bulk edit for other transaction attributes such as payee, memo and tags.
NOTE: If you make a mistake or change your mind, just select undo (Edit > Undo) from the Quicken menu.
For reference, this can be found under Help and by searching for bulk edit.
Hope this helps!
