Quicken Classic for Mac
Investing (Mac)
How do I display the investment value for a reinvestment transaction?
benashton
In the Transactions view, for a reinvestment transaction (such as a dividend reinvestment) Quicken for Mac shows the Amount as zero. If I double-click on the reinvestment transaction I can see the Total Cost (or investment value) of the reinvestment. How do I display the Total Cost of the reinvestment in the Transactions view?

In version 5.11 and older, you cannot do this. You have to look at the transaction to see the amount.
The ability to be able to see this amount has been requested, and newer versions might include this feature. Hold tight.

There are two "Ideas" posts I can find which have previously asked for this feature to be added:
Dividend Reinvestment dollar amounts
Show Reinvested dividends/gains dollar amount in Cash In and Cash Out columns
You should visit these two posts and add your vote (by clicking the little black arrow in the blue box under the first post).
