How to create a personal budget and change the categories? Quicken for Mac.

I have googled and tried almost everything. I am sure there is a way to easily edit the categories or add your own subcategories when editing a budget. Right?

Hello tgray110,

Sorry, to hear that you were unable to find the information you were looking for on creating categories for the budget.

Categories and subcategories can't be created from within the budget itself.

To access the category list, go to Window > Categories.

You should then see the Window below, a new category can be created using the (+).

To create a subcategory, highlight the parent category, select the (+) and choose 'New Subcategory'

The categories can then be selected to show on the budget.

To access this choose, the budget in question, then Edit Budget > Select Categories.
