I am trying to enter a transaction for a security that is in the Security List

The Security does not appear in the drop-down list for entering transactions.
Can anyone help please?

Make sure the security is the proper currency for the account you have selected.

Go to the Security List, check Show hidden securities at the bottom,  and make sure the security is not marked as Hidden. You may have to scroll the display to the right to see the Hidden column.

Make sure the security type for the security you are buying is NOT Market Index.

You have nailed it! The currency for the security in the Security List was my default currency and not the currency of the security.
