The sidebar is visable by default in the main window. You can collapse it by clicking "<" icon in at the top right of the sidebar.
That minimizes the sidebar. Yuo can re-expand it by clicking the ">" icon:
If you are not seeing the sidebar at all, you are likely looking at a single account register window, and the main windw may be closed. Click Command-1 to re-open the main window. (You can also switch among windows using the -- you guessed it -- Window menu)Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19936

Thank you very much. Cmd-1 restored the sidebar.0

Great.
Be aware that the account register you had open in a separate window is likely still open and just hiding behind the main window. It's a good idea to close extra windows you aren't using to avoid Quicken slowdowns (especially if one of the account windows is an investment account with a graph showing). Just check your Windows menu at the bottom to see if any account registers are open; if so, select them to bring them to the front, and then close the window.Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19930
